01Speed & Core Web Vitals
How fast your pages actually load on a real phone on a real connection — and which specific asset is holding them back.
We measure Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, and Cumulative Layout Shift against the thresholds Google actually uses, then trace each failure to its cause: an uncompressed hero image, a render-blocking script, a font loading late and shifting your headline. Knowing your LCP is 4.1 seconds is useless on its own. Knowing it is 4.1 seconds because of one 2MB banner image is a fix you can hand to a developer this week.
02Mobile experience
Over 70% of local searches happen on a phone. We check tap targets, readability, and whether your call button is where a thumb can reach it.
We load your site on a real handset viewport and try to complete the thing a customer would: find your phone number, read your prices, submit your form. Buttons smaller than 44px, text under 16px, and forms that trigger a zoom on focus all quietly cost you calls. These rarely show up in automated scores because a crawler never has to tap anything.
03SEO foundations
Title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, and whether Google can crawl and index the pages that matter to you.
We check every indexable page for a unique title under 60 characters, a description under 155, exactly one H1, and a heading order that does not skip levels. Then we verify the pages you care about are actually in the index and not blocked by robots.txt, a stray noindex tag, or a canonical pointing somewhere else. Duplicate titles across service pages are the single most common problem we find, and one of the fastest to fix.
04Structured data
Whether your business, services, hours, and reviews are marked up so search engines can read them — and show them off.
LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, and BreadcrumbList schema are what let Google show your hours, star ratings, and FAQ answers directly in results. We validate what you have against Schema.org and flag what is missing, malformed, or contradicts your visible content — because schema that claims hours your site does not show is worse than no schema at all.
05Site structure
Internal linking, orphaned pages, and whether your most valuable services are buried three clicks deep.
Google reads internal links as a vote of importance, so a page nothing links to reads as a page that does not matter. We map which of your pages are orphaned, which are buried behind three clicks, and whether your highest-margin service is harder to reach than your blog. This is usually the cheapest ranking gain available: a nav link costs nothing and can move a page overnight.
06Competitive position
What the businesses currently outranking you in your area are doing that you are not.
We look at the two or three businesses ranking above you for your money keywords and identify the specific, concrete gaps: they have 140 reviews and you have 12, their service pages run 1,800 words and yours run 300, they have location pages for six cities and you have one. Ranking is relative, so knowing your own score matters far less than knowing the distance you need to close.
